GUJRANWALA, July 24: The Punjab governor has given an approval for buying 50 acres more agricultural land for the extension of the Government Rachna College and Engineering University in Jora, Wazirabad.
This was stated by university principal Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar here on Sunday.
The principal said that the Punjab governor was taking keen interest in upgrading of the university. For this purpose, he said the governor had paid four visits here to review the expansion project of the university.
He revealed that boards of directors had also approved a modern laboratory and an information technology centre for the university.
Mr Jabbar said that university students had been provided with the facility of a coach for transportation, a play ground and a specialist doctor for treatment. He said that around 50 per cent work on the approach road had also been completed.
FAREWELL PARTY: The Punjab College of Information Technology, Gujranwala, arranged a farewell party for its BCS students at a local hotel on Sunday.
Former Bahauddin Zakarya University vice-chancellor and UCP pro-rector Dr Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chaudhry lauded the communication skills of students, particularly in English.
