SIALKOT, July 24: Sialkot police on Sunday arrested three prayer leaders of different sects for violating a ban on the loudspeaker. Maulvi Matiullah, Qari Muhammad Shahid and Qari Muhammad Nasir were arrested from Muradpur, Sialkot, and Talwandi Inayat Khan, Pasrur, for misusing loudspeakers in mosques.

Police have registered separate cases against the accused and sent them to jail.

CASE: Daska police on Sunday registered a case against a police inspector for misusing a car recovered from an accused involved in a murder-cum-dacoity case.

According to the FIR, accused Malik Adnan of the Daska investigation cell was using the car (LZC-338) recovered by the Daska police from the dacoity-cum-murder accused.

The accused inspector was sent behind the bars.

Meanwhile, Sambrial police registered a case against its muharrer Noor Ahmad for providing help in the escape of accused Adnan Aslam from the lock-up.

A case has been instituted against the accused muharrer with no arrest.
