KARACHI, July 22: A rain emergency centre has been set up at Gulshan Town Customer Service Centre for combating rain-related problems. A 16-member team is available at the centre round the clock on shift basis. The team also includes a doctor with availability of an ambulance and medicines for any emergency. The customer service centre is already providing services to solve problems relating to water and sewerage, building and roads, electricity and streetlights on complaints lodged by area residents.

“We are receiving around 30-35 complaints daily regarding sewerage, water shortage, broken roads and streetlights. Around 80 per cent of the complaints are forwarded/solved the same day,” said in-charge of the customer service centre.—PPI
