KARACHI: Repair of pumps ordered

KARACHI, July 22: The Managing Director, KWSB, Brig Iftikhar Hyder, has taken strict notice of repeated failure of water motors and pumps at the Jamila Pumping Station.

He directed concerned engineers to take steps on emergency basis for the repair and maintenance of motors and pumps so that people do not face problems.

During a two-hour visit to the pumping station, the MD along with Deputy MD Technical Israr Zaidi, Chief Engineer Gulzar Memon and others said the repair work should be carried out on war footing and sewerage disposal system should be improved. He warned that no slackness would be tolerated in that regard.

It was stated that repair of motors and pumps would be completed by Friday night.
