KARACHI, July 22: An infuriated man shot dead a woman and also attempted to kill his daughter and a young man. Misri Shah had been looking for his daughter, Meena Gul, for the last few months. He came to know about the presence of Meena in the house of Mukaysha Bibi in Baldia Town No 3.
Police said the man barged into the house of Mukaysha Bibi, 55, and opened fire, killing the woman and wounding her son Sohrab and Meena Gul.
Police said Sohrab had eloped Meena Gul in Peshawar a few months back. Since then the two had been living together, but had not married.
Police said Meena Gul, had already been married and had five children. Police arrested the suspect from the scene of the crime. The wounded were shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment by the police.
ACCIDENT: A pickup driver died in a road accident in Steel Town Friday.
Police said Mohammad Ismail, 30, was driving a Suzuki pickup when a minibus coming from opposite direction rammed into the pickup killing him on the spot.
