‘Islamabad committed to fighting terror’


NEW DELHI, July 19: Pakistan is fully committed to fight terrorism and will not allow any terrorist activity from its soil, Pakistan High Commissioner to India Aziz Ahmad Khan has said.

“There is tremendous appreciation all over the world of the actions, Pakistan government has taken to fight the menace of terrorism”, he told in a interview telecast by CNBC TV channel last night. Noted journalist Karan Thapar was compere of the programme.

Mr Khan said: “Anybody who is involved in any illegal activity will be punished as far as government of Pakistan is concerned. But we cannot take action if evidence is not available.”

“But I can assure you that Pakistan is fully committed to fight against terrorism and will not allow any terrorist activity from its soil”, he added. He said Pakistan has taken all measures and will not allow use of its soil against any country.—APP
