Traffic to China restored

GILGIT, July 19: The Frontier Works Organization said on Tuesday that it had restored traffic on the Karakoram Highway, which was blocked due to landslides near Sust. Traders said hundreds of trucks and containers loaded with imported goods from China were stuck up on the Chinese side of the border. The FWO also said it had restored traffic on the Gilgit-Skardu road on Monday after removing mud and rocks, which had blocked it following recent rains.
