Maximum points for Navy


RAWALPINDI, July 19: PTCL overcame a battling National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) 3-2 in the national football Challenge Cup at Army Stadium on Tuesday. In the other match of the day at Faisalabad, Pakistan Navy made light work of Panthers Club 2-0.

PTCL led 2-0 at half-time with goals from Adeel (11th minute) and Yasir (50th minute).

PTCL slammed a third goal against bankers in the 65th through Shahid.

NBP reduced the margin to 2-3 with goals coming from Aurangzeb who converted a 73rd minute penalty and Imran (87th minute). Muhammad Ramzan and Atif Rehman were the scorers.

Wednesday fixtures: Pakistan Army v Sindh Government Press (Rawalpindi); Wapda v KESC (Faisalabad).
