MQM chief asks workers to exercise restraint

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, July 19: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to supporters, workers and office-bearers of the party to exercise restraints and not to react to provocations from opponents. In a statement, he said even if enemies of the MQM intensify their violent activities, the MQM office-bearer, worker and supporter must demonstrate tolerance and restraint.

Mr Hussain said that during the MQM’s women-convention, MQM workers and leaders amply demonstrated restraint and gave verdict in favour of MQM-backed candidates in the local government elections.

He reiterated his party’s resolve to play a positive role in strengthening of a democratic dispensation.
