SANGHAR, July 19: Sixty-seven candidates have filed their nomination papers for the local body elections in Sanghar taluka. The main political parties including the Pakistan Muslim League (Functional), Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement are busy in sorting out discrepancies. In Sanghar, Sinjhoro and Khipro talukas, the PPP and the PML-F are likely to reach a seat adjustment accord.

In Shahdadpur and Tando Adam talukas, the MQM and the PML-F are negotiating while in Jam Nawaz Ali, the Junejas are the main political force.

Unlike the last LB elections, arch rival groups and parties are going to join hands while the same parties in other district are now at loggerheads. In many union councils, nazim, naib nazim or their relatives are candidates for the same stats.
