On May 24, the price of petrol was raised to Tk35 from Tk33 to make its price equal to that of octane “to stop adulteration of the latter”.

The price of diesel was hiked to Tk26 from Tk23, and that of kerosene to Tk25 from Tk23 on the same day and within four days, on May 28, the government increased the price of kerosene again by Tk1 to make its price equal to that of diesel to stop adulteration of the latter.
