BAGHDAD, July 18: Eighteen people, mostly policemen, were killed in Iraq on Monday, after a three-day bombing frenzy as a top US military official warned of increased violence in the days ahead. More than 130 people have been killed in attacks since Friday, including 83 who died when a suicide bomber on Saturday blew up a propane gas tanker in Al-Musayyib.

Attacks continued on Monday, with at least 18 people killed in separate incidents across the country, including two car bombs against US military convoys. Eight of the victims were police, while six army personnel, the key targets.—AFP
