PVF wants to retain foreign coach

By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, July 18: The volleyball federation is to present its plan for preparation for next year’s South Asian Games (SAG) in Colombo to the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) on Tuesday. A spokesman for the PSB said that the plan would be submitted by volleyball secretary Muhammad Afzal to the director general of the board, Brig. Arif Mahmud Siddiqui.

Afzal told Dawn that their focus would be mainly on camp training, which was already on while international exposure would be obtained through participation in the Asian seniors championship in September and the Al-Rashid tournament in Dubai.

“We also want to retain our foreign coach till the Games so that our preparations remain on track,” Afzal said.

The presentation plan of other disciplines in which Pakistan will take part in Colombo will be submitted during a meeting slated for July 26-27 in Islamabad.
