New markets

Published July 19, 2005

LAHORE, July 18: LCCI President Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman urged the Export Promotion Bureau to explore new markets and new products to reduce country’s dependence on a few commodities and countries. He expressed these views while speaking at a function arranged for Export Promotion Bureau Vice-Chairman Zafar Mehmood.

The LCCI president said in this fast changing global scenario and highly competitive international market, the EPB needed to develop regional, product-specific and target-oriented marketing strategy.

He said Pakistan’s exports were presently concentrated to a few countries, which was a major cause for instability in export earnings.—APP
