KARACHI, July 16: Leading referee Shabbir Hussain Daruwala has been invited by Asian Confederation of Billiards Sport (ACBS) to supervise the 21st Asian snooker championship in Bangkok, Thailand from July 24 to 31.

A spokesman for Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association said on Saturday that they nominated Shabbir as he was approved by ACBS’s Referee Control Panel.

Shabbir will referee for his eighth Asian championship. He has also supervised in four world championships in Pakistan (1992), China (1998), Egypt (2003) and Holland (2004).—APP
