PML will win LB polls: Arbab
NAWABSHAH, July 16: The Election Commission was competent to decide the supervision of army in local body elections. This was stated by Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the Chief Minister of Sindh, while talking to newsmen at the circuit house here on Saturday night. He said that those who were accusing the Muttahida Qaumi Movement for bloodshed were themselves planning it.
He said that many people were joining the PML from all parts of Sindh and hoped that the PML would win the local body elections with a thumbing majority.
Answering a question, he said that transfers and postings were a routine matter but no transfers were made after the ban slapped by the Election Commission.
He said that there was no water crisis in Sindh and law and order situation was satisfactory.
He said that local body elections would be held on non-party basis which would not be non-political because there was a party behind every panel.
The chief minister, accompanied by Ghulam Rasool Unnar, political adviser to chief minister, Abdul Rauf Khan, special assistant, Ali Asghar Rind, Syed G.M.Shah, general secretary PML Nawabshah, Khan Mohammad Dahiri, district president PML, former MNA Syed Shoukat Hussain Shah, Hafeez Unnar, Sikandar Rind and Anwar Saleem, the zonal organiser MQM, Nawabshah.
He announced that Mir Maqbool Khan Jamali, Ayub Rind, Khudadad Durrani, Sher Mohammad Jamali and Mukhi Roopchand had joined PML on Saturday.
The chief minister, who arrived here on Friday evening, held meetings with local leadership of PML, PML-F, MQM and other coalition partners and discussed issues related to the forthcoming local body elections.
