Man killed in encounter

MARDAN, July 16: A wanted man was killed in an encounter with the Shahbaz Garhi police on Friday. Mohammad Hussein of Zand Dheri village was wanted by Shahbaz Garhi police in six cases, including the killing of a constable in 2001 and murder and rape cases over the past 10 years. On Friday evening, he was going on a bicycle when a police party asked him to surrender but he opened fire and tried to flee. He was shot dead in a nearby field, police said.
