KARACHI, July 15: The traffic police of Karachi has finalized rain emergency traffic plan in view of the expected monsoon rains. The plan provides for uninterrupted traffic flow and provision of alternative routes for vehicles keeping their safety aspect in view. It also envisages the measures for removal of vehicles stuck-up in rain water on roads.

In a meeting last week, Provincial Police Officer Asad Jehangir Khan had issued instructions to DIG traffic to work out a comprehensive rain emergency traffic plan whereby not only smooth flow of traffic could be ensured but help and cooperation is also provided to people affected by the rain.—APP
