Faizan, Ubaid excel

KARACHI, July 14: Leg-spinner Faizan Hussain captured five for 61 to help Zone-I Blues defeat Zone-IV Blues by 29 runs in the KCCA Under-15 Inter-zonal cricket tournament at Students Sports Ground on Wednesday.

Adeel Khan hit a fine 59 with five boundaries as Zone-I Blues made 199 in 44.5 overs. Spinners Tauqir Rafiq and Khan Usmanullah took four wickets each.

Zone-IV Blues, in response, were dismissed for 170 in 45 overs.

In another match at the KCCA Stadium, Zone-III Greens beat Zone-VII Blues by five wickets.

The highlight of the match was a superb all-round performance by Ubaid Amin, who took four for 29 and then hit 47 for the winners.
