KARACHI, July 13: Nine vessels carrying containers, general cargo and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest owing to delayed arrivals. As a result, three ships, APL Jeddah, Antarios Breeze to unload and load containers and offload coal respectively and Koriana, to unload sludge oil were berthed after the departure of four.
The ships, which departed included Cardinal, Eastern Sea, Alexia and Setif-2, while Yaku Shima, Captain Aydham, Captain AyhamAPL Jeddah, Cos Lucky and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 64,680 tons comprising 15,680 tons of export cargo and 49,171 tons of import tonnage including 14,555 tons of DAP fertilizer was handled.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Shalamar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Praticia-A, to load 14,500 tons of molasses, Kota Tampan, Lykes Racer, Asian Trader, APL Orchid and Astor, with containers, Ping Jiang, to load general cargo and Asphalt Merchant, with bitumen.
