HYDERABAD, July 11: Encroachments from two Dehs in Nooriabad area in Jamshoro district off the Super Highway were removed on Monday following directives by Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim. The District Officer (revenue) and collector Jamshoro Mustafa Jamal Kazi and TPO Nooriabad Ameer Bhangwar supervised the operation which began on Monday as police force from Thana Bula Khan, Nooriabad and Lunikot participated in the operation.

It was learnt that there were some discrepancies and irregularities in the revenue record which led to encroachment on Super Highway by some people who had put up different signboards and raised one room structures.

Such boards and structures had been completely demolished. The anti-encroachment drive would continue for few more days.

Around one month back and again a fortnight ago the Jamshoro district government’s revenue officials had issued notices to the encroachers, asking them to prove their record . It was stated in the notices that no entry was found in the revenue record of those lands where encroachment had taken place.

They, however, did not respond and finally the operation had to be launched. In the current phase of drive encroachments were removed in Deh Babbar Bund and Huthal Budh along the Super Highway.
