KARACHI, July 11: Five ships carrying coal, steel billets and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships were berthed. They are: Wan Hai-261, Ilse Wuff, Maersk Alaska, to unload and load containers, Cardinal to unload steel wires, Bright Sund to offload DAP fertilizer, Cos Lucky to offload coal, Kemal KA tun unload palm oil, Kapitan Nazarey, and Nur Yanbu to offload chemicals.

Six vessels, Sagamore, Iran Babaarei, Wan Hai-261,Talsel Maru-15, Taraman and Kemal KA departed, while Maersk Alaska, Ilse Wuff, Alexia, Nur Yanbu, and Eastern Sea are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling at the wharves was fairly brisk where a total tonnage of 0.108m tons comprising 9,646 tons of export cargo including 1,,073 tons of cement and 0.102m tons of import tonnage including general cargo of 50,000 tons, notably DAP fertilizer.

The following ships are due on Tuesday; Eastern Sea, APL Jeddah, with containers, Antarios Breeze, with 39,401 tons of coal, Lalazar, with crude oil, and Med Salvador, with steel billets.
