Gas for Naushera Virkan

GUJRANWALA, July 10: A project to supply gas to Naushera Virkan and other places has been started after its inauguration on Sunday. MNA Rana Bilal Ijaz told a meeting that Rs200 million would be spent on the provision of gas to Naukher, Tetley and other localities, besides Naushera Virkan.

REMAND: The Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 has granted judicial remand of a secondary schoolteacher allegedly involved in a blasphemy case. He was sent behind bars on Sunday.

Reports said police arrested Liaquat Ali when some teachers and students together with activists of religious groups took out a procession charging him with blasphemy. — Correspondent
