KARACHI: KU second semester begins

KARACHI, July 10: The second semester of the University of Karachi will begin from today. This was announced by the Adviser for Students’ Affairs, Prof Dr Mohammad Ahmed Qadri, here on Sunday.

He said that the administration was expecting of its students that they would greatly focus on academic activities and display a model social and moral character, so that the identity of the KU as a seat of higher learning could further be highlighted.

Prof Qadri advised the students to display their identity cards, and spend most of their time in their departments, library and seminar halls.

He said that smoking was strictly prohibited on campus and cars with tinted window panes and motorcycles without silencers would not allowed entry into the campus.

Prof Qadri said that display of banners and posters, wall chalking, and distribution of biased literature in the campus was also strictly banned.—PPI
