FAISALABAD, July 9: Three family members, including two women, were strangled in Liaquat Town in Jhang Bazaar police station precinct on Friday night. Reports said some unidentified people entered Malik Muhammad Islam’s house in the late hours of Friday and strangled the house owner, his mother Anar Pari Bibi and maid Ruqayya Bibi. They also attacked Ali Ahmad, the husband of Ruqayya, leaving him unconscious.

Suspecting some untoward incident, the people of the area on Saturday entered the house and informed the area police after finding the bodies. Ali Ahmad was shifted to the Allied Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

The police have yet to ascertain motive behind the triple murder, but pledged to reach the culprits soon.
