Blasts crime against humanity: Mowahid
LAHORE, July 9: The Punjab chief minister’s special adviser Mowahid Husain says the terrorist attacks on London are a crime against humanity, the biggest casualty of which will be the Muslims. Talking to reporters here on Saturday, he said enemies of Islam would exploit the situation. He said such acts could be controlled by addressing what he called imbalance and injustice in the world. He called for addressing the Kashmir, Palestine and Chechnya issues and representation of Muslims on the UN Security Council. “Occupation breeds and feeds terrorism,” said Mowahid, who also practices law in the United States.
He is due to leave for the US on Sunday (today) on a few weeks’ visit.
During his stay there, he will address various forums and think-tanks and explain a Muslim’s point of view on the phenomenon.
Mowahid said it was regrettable that terrorist activities had gone up after the launch of war on terror. However, he believed that the situation could be controlled by wiping out injustice from the world.
