Gohar and Akhtar for India

LAHORE, July 8: International Gohar Zaman and coach Akhtar Mohiyuddin will attend Futuro-III regional football coaching course to be held in India from Aug 1 to 12. Gohar is the only Pakistani who scored a hat trick in World Cup qualifying round match played against Sri Lanka in Beirut on May 17, 2001. His last appearance at international level was at 14th Busan Asian Games in 2002.

Akhtar was the assistant to the former Pakistan coach John Layton from Britain and under him team performed well by reaching the finals of the Asian U-19 championship, beating India 2-0 and Sri Lanka 1-0 in the qualifying round held in Colombo.
