Safety measures for trains

LAHORE, July 8: Arrangements have been made to ensure safety of passenger trains and their arrival on time in view of heavy rains and expected floods. An emergency flood centre has been set up at the Pakistan Railways headquarters, says a release issued here on Friday. Engineers will remain on duty at the centre round-the-clock to meet any eventuality. The centre will also provide the latest information regarding train traffic like suspension of service on any section, late arrivals owing to floods or rain at phone numbers (042) 9201679 and 9201771-73.
