LAHORE, July 8: People’s Party secretary-general Jahangir Badr on Friday withdrew from an accountability court his petition for a visit abroad. The court disposed of the petition after the PPP leader cited tense situation in London after bomb blasts as one of the reasons for postponing an immediate visit to the UK. Mr Badr had sought from the interior ministry a one-time permission for a travel out of the country meeting the condition of the accountability court which told him last month that his petition for a visit abroad would be considered if he got such a permission.
