KARACHI, July 8: As the second semester of the academic session in the University of Karachi (KU) is going to commence from July 11, the KU Adviser on Students’ Affairs on Friday notified the students to abide by the KU’s instructions. The adviser instructed the students to display the varsity’s identity cards in the campus and avoid wandering in the residential area of the KU.
He further instructed the students to spend most of their time in libraries, departments and seminar libraries. Any complaints from any of the colleague must be informed in written to the office of student’s affairs of the varsity, he added.
Students of the evening programme must come to the varsity at afternoon. The entry of vehicles having tinted glasses and without silencers in the premises of the university is strictly restricted.
He further notified that smoking in the academic area and installing banners and graffiti in the university was prohibited.
BEd exam forms: The Examinations Department, University of Karachi on Friday notified that all those regular students who had appeared in the BEd supplementary exams-2004 and could not clear the exams, were allowed to submit their examination forms from July 9 to 14, for annual exams-2005. The examination fee is Rs1,300.
BDS exams: The first professional BDS supplementary exams-2005 of the affiliated colleges of the University of Karachi will commence from July 16 at the Mathematics Department, of the KU.
A total of 60 candidates are appearing in the exams, timings of which are from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
According to the schedule announced by the KU, Anatomy paper will be held on 16th, Physiology on 18th, Chemistry of Dental Materials on 20th, Biochemistry on 23rd and Islamiat/Pak Studies paper will be held on 25th.—PPI
