KARACHI: No headway in bus dacoity case

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 6: Police have so far failed to make any headway in the Tuesday’s UTS bus dacoity in North Nazimabad during which two people were shot dead. “There is no development in the Tuesday’s incident, but police are looking for the suspects”, said TPO North Nazimabad. According to the SHO of Taimuria, sketches of suspects have been prepared with the help of eyewitnesses.

The driver and the conductor have been made a complainant in the case, as rest of the passengers avoided becoming a witness to the incident, the SHO said.

Tuesday’s incident occurred in the jurisdiction of three police stations, Sir Syed, Taimuria and Shahrae Noor Jehan. However, police mobile or motorcycle cops failed to spot the suspects.

Both the victims who were killed in the bus robbery were in their early 20s and were unmarried.

Tanveer Husain, 22, was an electrician and was heading towards the downtown for some work. Abdul Khaliq, 24, was on his motorcycle when he was shot dead by the suspects.

The victim was a resident of Nusrat Bhutto Colony and used to teach Holy Quran to children.
