KARACHI, July 6: A KPT PRO has been arrested by the NAB for misappropriation of Rs11 million. Officials said PRO Kafeel Ahmed embezzled funds on the basis of fake bills for photography. “Co-accused Habib Ahmed Khan, KPT’s official photographer, is already in custody”, they said.

Officials said the two accused withdrew a total of Rs17 million from the bank against the bills, purportedly paid to various labs between 1993 and July 2002.

They misappropriated Rs11 million and paid only Rs6 million to the photo labs, they said.

The officials said accused Kafeel Ahmed misappropriated Rs8 million and accused Habib Ahmed Khan Rs3 million.
