KARACHI, July 6: Seven ships carrying coal, DAP fertilizer and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships — Eax Sanctity, APL Cairo, to unload and load containers, Captain Adham, to offload project cargo, Bagi, to unload crude oil, Rising One, to load naphtha, and Talsel Maru-15, to load frozen fish — were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Ever Guard, Lami, Sondos, Rickmers Channeai, Bunga Melati-3, Swat and Bolan, while Global Princess, APL Cairo, Ariella, Bagi and Shalamar are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.103m tons comprising 11,991 tons of export cargo, including 1,109 tons of cement and 90,535 tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Sea Baisen, with 25,500 tons of DAP fertiliser, Golden Express, Wester Muehlen, PAC Antlia, with containers, Neera Naraee, Cos Lucky, with 10,450 and 43,591 tons of coal and Butet, with general cargo.
