PCB urged to intervene into RCA affairs

By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, July 5: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to conduct elections of Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) on Tuesday prompted calls for such an intervention in Rawalpindi Cricket Association (RCA) affairs.

Ashraf Qureshi, a former secretary of the RCA urged the PCB to look into the affairs of the association whose elections have not been held for almost eight years.

“Cricket has badly suffered in Rawalpindi, no tournament has been organised and the association that was once top-ranked is today in a poor shape,” said Qureshi.

ICA’s elections to be conducted by a PCB election commission headed by Javed Zaman are scheduled for July 16.
