Girl killed by leopard

ABBOTTABAD, July 5: A teenage girl was killed by a leopard in the Biran Gali area on Monday, raising the number of people killed by the predator in two days in the Galyats to three. Shabeena, daughter of Pervez, a watchman in the account office, was working in the field with her mother when the leopard attacked her, killing her on the spot. People of the area have called on the Wild Life Department to take steps to prevent leopard attacks, rising number of which has spread panic among the villagers who feel unsafe while moving in the area even in day time.

A woman and her mother-in-law were killed by a leopard in vilage Chatri near Thandiyani on Saturday.

The victims, identified as Khurshid Bibi and Ferozan Bibi, had gone to work in their fields when they were attacked by the beast.
