KARACHI: Water thieves warned

KARACHI, July 5: The Managing Director of the KWSB, Brig Iftikhar Haider, has warned of stern action against those involved in water tampering and the black sheep with the board. Addressing an emergency meeting of the KWSB engineers belonging to pumping and water supply, he said the utility had sufficient water, but just needed effective measures to distribute it. He directed the engineers to visit the areas where water shortage persisted and rectify public complaints.

He further directed the engineers to strictly check anti-social elements who disrupt water supply of some areas by interfering with valve operation.

The DMD, Israr Zaidi, and others were present in the meeting.—PPI
