ISLAMABAD, July 4: A summer tennis camp for juniors, organised by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) concluded here on Monday. About 28 young players took part in the 20-day camp where former Davis Cup star of yesteryear Hameedul Haq was the chief coach. He was assisted Rashid Ali and Ikramul Haq. During the course of the camp former Davis Cup players Munir Pirzada, Inamul Haq and Jameel Ahmed also paid visits and gave tips to the players.

The Director General of PSB, Brig Arif Mahmud Siddiqui urged the boys to work hard and gave away tennis balls and t-shirts to the players.

Meanwhile Hameed said that it was a pity that no official of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) had bothered to visit the camp which was held only an arm-length’s away from their offices.
