QUETTA July 4: The Academic Staff Association of Balochistan University has decided to boycott classes from Tuesday to protest against manhandling of a teacher. An emergency meeting of the ASA general body, which was chaired by its president Dr Imdad Hussain on Monday, called for the arrest of the accused nominated in the FIR. The meeting adopted a resolution that condemned armed attack on Professor Taleem Badshah and vowed to continue struggle to protect teachers’ rights.

The participants of the meeting decided to boycott classes from July 5 for two hours every day.

They stressed upon the university administration to arrest the three persons, including Naimatullah Tareen, who had been nominated in the FIR.
