KARACHI, July 4: The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) on Monday razed various illegal structures in the city. According to details, a demolition team of the KBCA razed illegally constructed rooms on third floor of Plot no. 1/C/1 Sector T-A, Orangi Town, while illegally constructed wall on second floor of Plot No 7, Sector 7 E was also demolished. In another operation, a demolition squad of the KBCA taking action against illegal structures sealed off more than 70 shops and booking office on Plot No. BS-20, Block A, Federal-B Area, while in the same area shutters and partition walls on Plot No R-1559 were removed due to illegal commercial usage of the residential area.

The demolition operations were carried out under the supervision of deputy controllers and demolition officers of the respective areas in the presence of police.—PPI
