Four of a family shot dead

LAKKI MARWAT, July 2: Four people of a family were shot dead over an old enmity near village Chuharkhel here on Saturday. The victims were going in a coach when assailants opened fire on the coach, killing Mohammad Shahid, Mohammad Asghar, Bakhta Jan and Rashid Khan on the spot. Nazir Khan, father of deceased Mohammad Shahid, lodged FIR with Darra Pezu police station against 17 accused including Mir Baz, Mohammad Din, Rahim Dad, Yaseen, Abdul Jalil, Akbar Zaman, Sher Khan, Jamil Khan, Hamid Khan, Abdul Vakil, Umar Khan, Pasham Gul, Shamsuddin, Muhammad Khan, Palo, Sharifullah and Shaukat.

Police said there existed an enmity between the families of Nazir Khan and Mir Baz which allegedly led to the killings.
