U-17 volleyball
LAHORE, June 29: Fine play by Ali Abbas, Mohammad Nabeel and Ghulam Jillani helped Punjab win the Inter-provincial U-17 volleyball championship beating NWFP in a straight-set final at Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Punjab won 25-19, 25-20, 25-16. Ali Abbas, a smasher was declared as Man-of-the- Championship.
The hosts claimed third position followed by Islamabad, who came fourth. Balochistan, Northern Areas and Fata also participated in the event.
