LAHORE, June 29: Daniyal Jehangir with two-day aggregate 148 retained on top on the second day of the three-day trials being held at the Lahore Gymkhana golf course to select a six-member Pakistan junior team for the Hong Kong Open to be held in August.
Trials to select a national Under-15 team for Hong Kong Open and a women’s team for the Islamic Games being held in Iran in September were also held on the second day.
Daniyal, who fired a card of one-under-73 on first day played sluggishly adding a card of four-over-par-75 but he managed to remain at the top.
Aleem-ur-Rehman, who was trailing at third spot with Mohammad Rehman and Qasim Ali on the first day improved to occupy second position with aggregate 154. Rehman, however, remained at third with aggregate 156.
In under-15, Hyder Atiq with two-day aggregate 156 was the leader while Furrukh Piracha with a 10 strokes lead was at second.
At 169, Wamic Shafiq was in third position. Tahira Nazir also maintained her top position in the ladies’ trials with aggregate 170 followed by Jameela Jabbar who had 172.
