KARACHI, June 29: A trussed-up body of an unidentified man was recovered from Tariq Road Wednesday morning, police said. The body was wrapped in a cloth sheet and was found near former Café Liberty on the main Tariq Road. Police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination.
Hospital sources said there were marks of strangulation on the victim’s neck believed to be in his late 20’s.

A housewife committed suicide in Orangi Town Wednesday.
Police said Shazia, 30, wife of Zulfiqar Ali had consumed some poisonous substance.
She was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where she died during treatment, police said. Police added that some domestic discord had driven her to take her life.
While in Garden area, a girl, Naureen, also consumed some poisonous substance after reportedly being scolded by her mother. She was taken to the Civil Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
