KARACHI, June 27: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan said on Monday that some elements were trying to make Pakistan a secular state by promoting Western culture. He was speaking at a ceremony after inaugurating the Madni Moque Park and playground in North Nazimabad Town.

Naimatullah said now the people in the West were themselves are fed up of their culture, and how can they give us any moral relief.

Meanwhile, the City Nazim inaugurated Shahrah-i-Baitul Mukarram, Mehmud Ghaznavi Park and Major Ziauddin Abbassi Shaheed Park in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town here on Monday.

The City Nazim, while addressing the ceremony, said truth could not be denied by mere propaganda and false claims, and citizens were praising the development and progress of the city.

He said enemies of the country were trying to impose Western culture and Western norms here, but they would not succeed in their designs because we are a nuclear power.

“We have brave armed forces, abundant natural resources and we are ready to lay our lives for the protection of our country”, he remarked.

The Nazim also opened a 25-bed hospital in Channisar Goth, besides a model park and laid the foundation of Hazrat Mahmood Shah Bukhari Chowrangi in UC-VI Jamshed Town.
