Govt official’s son held, released
ISLAMABAD, June 26: A son of senior consultant of a top government office was arrested on charges of beating and injuring his neighbour here on Sunday, police sources told Dawn.
However, the police released the accused after receiving a telephone call from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, said the sources.
The accused beat and injured a doctor living in sector G-6/4 after an exchange of harsh words. When contacted, ASP Tahir Ayub said an FIR had been lodged with the Aabpara police about the incident.—Staff Reporter
