KARACHI: Amusement area planned in Safari


KARACHI, June 25: The city government has decided to construct a modern amusement area on four-acres in the Safari Park in collaboration with the private sector. The city government’s department of Zoo, Safari and Aquarium has prepared the terms of reference (ToR) for the project whereby the amusement area would initially be given through auction to the highest bidder for 10 years.

All imported equipment would be installed in the amusement area, which would ensure quality and every possible protection from mishaps.

According to sources in the department, the establishment of the amusement area would not only add to the existing facilities in the Safari park, but it would also earn millions of rupees for the city government.

The City Nazim, Niamatullah Khan, has directed the department officer to get approval for the ToR at the earliest and get the amusement area auctioned so that Karachiites, especially women and children could be provided quality, and comparatively cheaper and more safer recreational facilities—APP
