Wadekar says BCCI lacks transparency

NEW DELHI, June 22 Blaming the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI for its lack of “transparency”, former chairmen of national selection committee, Ajit Wadekar, said there should be little or no interference on the selection panel.

Wadekar, also a former India captain, said selection committee was never given a free hand to pick deserving players to do national duty.

“The selectors should be given a free hand in selection process. They should also be paid for job they are doing. I cm sure these measures will help a lot,” Wadekar said.—Agencies
