Anan to lead Zone-I

KARACHI, June 22: Anan Arif has been named to lead a 16-member KCCA Zone-I squad in the PCB Inter-district under-19 cricket championship starting from June 25, zonal official announced on Wednesday.

Team was selected after trials carried out by selection committee. Former Test wicket-keeper batsman Taslim Arif headed the committee.

Selected players are advised to report Akber Alam at Student Ground on Thursday at 4.00 p.m.

Squad: Anan Arif (captain), Hafiz Asad (Vice-captain), Hamza-ul-Hasan, Muhammad Umer Butt, Mohib Ali, Tabish Nawab, Saad Azeem, Muhammad Mesam Zaidi, Sunil Bardan, Noman Hussain, Tajauddin Agha, Imran Ahmed, Syed Hasan, Ayub Umer, Irtagal Chaudhry, and Ovais Asghar.

Majid Rizvi, Hafiz Saeed Baig and Kamran Nawaz are standbys.—APP
