Two arrested for car theft

MANSEHRA, June 22: Police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered a taxi, snatched a day earlier, and arrested two people allegedly involved in the case. Speaking at a press conference at his office here, the DSP headquarters said a man hired a taxi on Tuesday to bring a patient from Kanghar area. On the Pakhwal road two men boarded the taxi as driver Malik Naseer was told by the man that they were with him. Later, at a deserted place they overpowered the driver, tied him with a rope and threw him in a nullah.

The driver managed to get himself freed and informed the police on 15 helpline.

The Saddar police SHO intercepted the taxi near the Khaki area and arrested two accused, whereas their third accomplice managed to escape.
