Civil Judge suspends PCB orders


RAWALPINDI, June 21: The Senior Civil Judge, Rawalpindi, Mohammad Anwar Khan Gondal, on Tuesday suspended the orders issued by Pakistan Cricket Board, on June 15 to ban president of Rawalpindi Cricket Association, Masood Anwar, and an under-19 player Ali Sarfraz.

The learned judge issued his decree on a petition filed by the player, who was member of the Rawalpindi team that competed in the recently-concluded PCB (Rawalpindi region) Inter-district under-19 cricket championship.

Declaring the PCB orders ineffective, the learned judge ordered PCB and RCA to appear before the court on the next date of hearing on July 4.—APP
